Okunoshima, better known as Rabbit Island, is a small island located in the city of Takehara in Japan.

This island has the unicity of being interely occupied by wild rabbits, running all around and bothering tourists in search of something to eat.

These kawaii friendly rabbits are a sort of biggest attractions in the area, enough to cover the shameful history that this island has lived, in fact in the past Okunoshima secretly produced over 6000 tons of poison gas making the island a toxic forbidden area of Japan. The time reduced the effect of the poison gas and now it is safe for local people and for tourists.

Now the island, that can be reach with a ferry running from the mainlan, is a popular tourist resort with a small golf course, camping grounds and beautiful beaches, and also a gas museum. But of course what will minly attract people will be these cute bunnies.
