Shanghai is the most populous city in China, and 3rd in the world. The urban transportation is also quite satisfactory. Despite the traffic jam that do happen occasionally, bus or taxis can take you to any corner. You have a huge range of top sights, starting from the Bund walkaway where you can admire the "New City" and the futuristic skyline, but also ancient towns and architectures such as big temples and old palaces.
