Shenzhen is the major city of Guangdong Province situated in south east of China right over Hong Kong's border on the Pearl River Delta.

The city's immense skyline is the evidence of its rapid economic growth becoming recently Special Economic Zone, important trading centre of China that connects business all around the world.

As new modern city, with a  population now over 10 000 000 people, Shenzhen does not have a noticeable history as few years ago was just a small village famous for fishing. 

Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport is the closest but it is possible to get into the city from Hong Kong and Guangzhou since the 3 cities are just few kilometers away from each other, well connected with trains.

Another way to move within cities is the ferry with regular service towards Hong Kong and Macau.

The Shenzen Metro is the easiest and the cheapest way to get around the city with fares that go from 2 to 9 CNY, depends on the distances. Buses are very comfortable and run everywhere with fares that start from 2 CNY with a maximum price of 10 CNY. 

Shenzhen does not have many historical sites, but it is possible to enjoy many amusement theme parks, city parks, beaches, shopping and of course a colorful nightlife.
